How's Season 3?
I loved S1 but I more or less gave up during S2 as I thought it was going nowhere. Has there been any progression in S3? Have any mysteries been solved or is it all dramatic filler so far?

shareNothing solved as yet, episode 5 was a bit slow, but as its once a week I don't mind that.
I really like the show love watching it Sunday afternoon.
Not really. As with LOST (same creator) they keep piling on mystery over mystery, abandoning plot elements from previous seasons. It's quite grating.
shareThat was a huge issue with Lost. I remember the last two episodes they were still introducing characters and mysteries.
They are excellent mystery builders, above average when it comes to deliver satisfactory answers
Halfway into season 3 and we're still none the wiser. What about the people contacting them through radio? What about their visions of children? What about the venom against the monsters they developed? What about Sarah's "direct line"?
shareI don't know if only the writers are to blame. Many times a solid story isn't supposed to span through 6+ seasons, this unfortunately is often forced by the powers that be.
This is why I so much prefer mini series format (8 episodes or so)
Archive 81 great example of it
They're just vamping, making it up as they go along. They themselves have no idea how to resolve it.
shareExactly like lost then, bummer. Back in the day I suspect they used the community to steal some ideas, like the in limbo pitch for the final season. The community was on imdb boards, barracks they called it
shareIf you know they're clueless it takes away from the mystery because it all seems pointless. People need to start calling Lindelof out for his constant vamping and gaslighting because he seems to be a one trick pony and it's getting old.
