It happens in the beginning of the movie where Eloise is leaving her bedroom and sees a different reflection. Why did it begin then when the real "alternate universe" stuff started to happen when she moved into her new apartment?

shareWhe she was still in her hometown she had conversations with her Grandmother that implied she had abilities or sensitivities….that set you up to believe that she could have an experience like what she did in London…just because she is sensitive to the paranormal doesn’t mean she can control it…whether it’s seeing her Mom or being swept into the alternate/past universe.
