Why do they do this? Now they’ve ended up with a worse version of the previous film, Fallout, and seriously underperformed at the box office.
They’ve just removed ‘Part 2’ from the next film as part of an embarrassing damage control effort 🤦🏻♂️

I actually quite loved DR P1 but even I thought it was a big mistake to split it into two parts. My only guess is they were emboldened by the runaway success of TG: Maverick and wanted to go out as epic as possible since Tom Cruise isn't getting younger. Just a hunch though.
shareI like it too but it’s probably the worst M:I film, it’s just way too bloated at nearly 3 hours, with a lack of focus and some glaring oddities (like why doesn’t anyone notice that the White Widow now has brown eyes?)
It has great aspects, like the train fight/collapse and the return of Kittridge, but overall it feels like a downgrade from Fallout, and it didn’t need to be.
My 4K UHD disc calls itself ‘Dead Reckoning: Part 1’, gonna be weird when there’s no ‘Part 2’ in the collectiom.
