Would Mission: IMPOSSIBLE VII Have Benefitted From Losing Part 1 & 2??

Would Mission: IMPOSSIBLE VII Have benefitted better by simply making it one 3 Hour movie instead of breaking it up into 2 Parts?? I'm trying to figure out how and why this movie did poorly at the box office?? If it was a case of being released at the wrong time or if Barbie & Oppenheimer hurt it or if the younger generation simply didn't care about a 7th movie in a franchise because personally, I thought this was one of the Best in the series, even if I don't think a certain character's demise is real?? How about it??

That! Plus franchise fatigue

One 2hr 20m movie. No Part 2 . And still called Dead Reckoning..

Maybe it'd got to 700m by now if not labelled 'Part one' ..

Then they do MI8 if necessary (but maybe not if they pissed off with MI7 box office )

You don't think Ilsa's dead? Didn't she get stabbed in the heart?

I just feel like her and Cruise really had good chemistry and she was clearly over with the fans and killing her off made 0 sense.. Remember when he went to look for her toward the beginning during that sandstorm and how she made it out by faking her death as they used a mannequin or something to make it look good?? I just feel like she's in hiding, Cruise's character knows this and they will reunite when Ethan Hunt's story is complete.. If not?? Then I just think it was a waste..

*shrugs* Characters die in movies sometimes.

I also feel like they replaced her with someone a bit similar. Seemed a bit pointless to kill her off to replace her just like that

Marvel. Hotter

Well Ilsa seems like a more capable, smarter agent, like a pro. Someone Ethan could go shoot bad guys with.
I hope they just didn't replace her by someone to do the same thing.

It would definitely help, but not so much. The biggest flaw was that it started just a week before Barbie and Oppenheimer, everyone was excited to watch and spend their money on these two movies. The August became WIDE open after Gunn killed off the DCEU and Shazam tanked. Moving it to this days, would have give the movie enough air to shine and a bigger succes. Likely not the MI6 success, but not the bomb it is now.
