Smoking?!
WTH - there would be NO smoking aboard a space station. Maybe a tiny little ventilated room but not anywhere - as they do in this movie. Alot!

Yes that was a weird choice. It's hard to imagine many people still smoking at all by 2090, and incredible to imagine - even if smoking was still a thing - it would be accepted in these circumstances. I don't think anyone's lighting up on the ISS.
Interviewer: "You're asking if you can smoke on the trillion dollar, incredibly important and vulnerable space station? No you f'ing can't, why would you even bring it up? Here, here's 3 months worth of gum and patches. Toughen up. No wait a minute, the fact you even mentioned it means you're not qualified for this. Get out."
