Could someone explain this scene to me? Was there any particular reason why the two Stranges started firing magical musical notes at each other? There didn't seem to be any particular reason unless I missed the importance of them.

And not in a good way, not like the zombie scenes! That I just loved.
It feels like the director watched Harry Potter movie once and thought hey it's magic fight and tried to replicate the vibe but changed it a bit so it doesn't look like a rip off.
