This Simu Liu feller is a complainer

"We are not an experiment.

We are the underdog; the underestimated. We are the ceiling-breakers. We are the celebration of culture and joy that will persevere after an embattled year.

We are the surprise.

I’m fired the f**k up to make history on September 3rd; JOIN US."

This dope is so busy looking for something to be outraged over - he did it before too -that he COMPLETELY misunderstood what Chapek said.

He's kinda mouthy:

C-grade character with a whiny lead. I felt good about this movie several weeks ago, but I think it's going to flop pretty hard because of the unlikable lead.

i never read the old Shang Chi comic book so I have no interest anyway to see the movie. To me, the Shang Chi movie is just an over the top kung fu movie where theyre trying to be the next best thing like Bruce Lee or Jackie CHan.

and with the stupid trailer previews it makes the movie look like a kung fu superhero version of Speed

reply

I never have either, but was genuinely interested after that first trailer. But the others and this guy's attitude have really killed my interest.

For real though, I've been seeing these articles in my newsfeed all week. I'm not one to defend Disney in any way but I've read & reread the CEO's comments & there honestly doesn't seem to be any malice in his comment

He basically said that this film is an experiment in the sense that there's a covid resurgence & they're doing a theatres only release without the Disney+ premium boost. Cause it's a gamble.

But dude just went off. Maybe he just misunderstood the comments or misjudged it cause he only read the headlines or maybe he's just 'looking for attention'. I've no idea

reply

A lot of people on Twitter called him out. I think I saw ONE comment that agreed with Liu, because EVERYONE understood what Chapek meant. He seems obsessed with being a victim and talking about being Asian.

I haven't looked into this guy's career because I've never heard of him, but given how much of a whiny dandy he is, I'm pretty sure he's not a real martial artist or stunt person, and probably never threw a punch in his life before being handed this role. Also, he's not even handsome.

reply

......pardon?

reply

That actually seems possible. Looks like dude is REALLY looking for something to be offended by & seems to be just grasping at straws right now
