They should do the Dan Garrett or Ted Kord versions first. They both gave their lives as the Blue Beetle. I know they're not real but there should be some acknowledgment of their legacies.

shareI think they are making the correct choice with Reyes. His story is more interesting with the history that we can get glimpses of. Maybe even a one shot episode featuring a Garret or Kord flashback adventure.
The most compelling Blue Beetle storyline is in the OMAC Project. It is Kord and mostly works due to the comic book big-picture. It leads into Booster Gold's investigation in 52.
I hope they don't turn it into another immigration soap box. Fingers crossed.
