MEG 2 Making Enough $$$$$ To Ensure The MEG III

While this may not have done as well in the U.S thanks to WB and Barbie, Global & Overseas, this movie is killing it ensuring MEG III will happen at some point and that pleases me, but definitely improvements need to be made for the 3rd movie, like no more Subplots about Family Relationships & Merecenaries and instead, once the title card for MEG III disappears, the carnage is already in progress, a Yacht being rammed or a ship.. It also has to have the Prehistoric Whale, Leviathan, the only whale to take out a MEG.. And make it R-Rated, though I doubt they'll have a one off movie R-Rated while the other 2 are PG-13..

If this movie made as much as it did despite a PG13 rating and bad reviews, I doubt they'll change course.

That's a great idea. Maybe a Meg and Jurassic mashup with a mosasaur and a genetically recreated Meg with cross species DNA mixed in.

MEG is a Chinese production , funded with CN money, on a script & cast approved by The Party. Making a profit is secondary.
Making China look presentable is #1. Primary market is Asia.
The rest is a tax write off.
This is Stathams best paying job ever.
MEG 3 ? Thats up to China.

MEG III is definitely happening, whether China profited heavily on it or not.. Moviegoers love their shark movies and I'm still convinced had this opened up in any other month but August against the male bashing feminism machine known as Barbie, it would've done alot better than it did..

Actually, this wouldn't surprise me given they just gave KONG a baby in the new Godzilla X Kong 2 trailer

It really is a shame this didn't make more $$$$ than it did last summer, but what can you say?? Barbie crushed everything, so it is what it is..

MEG III needs to focus less on dumb subplots and simply more on the shark to human action, people being munched so to speak.. That is the one thing about MEG II I wasn't thrilled with is spending almost an hour of the movie down in the Trench
