what was the inmovie explanation for no Bingbing Li?

Why on earth they keep the daughter? Where is Bingbing Li?

Li only made one movie since The Meg. She probably didn't want to come back, so they killed Suyin off.

The daughter was the worst part of this movie.. She'll end up being in a live version of "Lilo & Stitch" for long.. Hopefully, she gets munched in the 3rd movie

I like her. She's a good foil for Statham's steely cool charisma. Classic put-upon dad with a precocious child shenanigans.

They only briefly mention her passing and don't mention the nature of her death at all. The first time I saw this I didn't even catch it. I kept waiting for her to show up like a dummy.

And that's too bad because the kid was the worst part of it and became annoying being in pretty much every scene. She should get munched in the opening credits of MEG III

The daughter was the only likable character in the entire series apart from Jason Statham.

I was a bit surprised they killed her off between the movies. I was waiting for an explanation that perhaps she died while exploring the Trench or even by a different Megalodon.
