I actually had fun watching it.
It's wacky and I loved the hilarious deaths on the Fun Island.
shareAs a standalone movie, it is fun and whacky. But, when you compare it to the first, which was more serious, it is just silly.

MEG III needs to pair the Alpha MEG still down in the TRENCH VS LIVYATAN or better known as the Prehistoric Sperm Whale able to take down a MEG like in the Novel MEG: NIGHTSTALKERS where it made it's 1st appearance along with TITANOBOA. And then make it R-Rated to end this further debate as to whether this should be R-Rated VS PG-13 which brings in a wider audience..

shareI think this will be better appreciated over the course of time when it comes out on Blu Ray.. It was definitely not without flaws, but when the shark action was present, it rocked.. For MEG III, just cut out the dumb subplots with family relationships and Mercenaries and go straight to the carnage in progress after the title card rolls by..
