My Opinion

I suppose you & I are in the minority on this.. I have never seen a concept like this divide such a fickle audience in 2023, but whatever.. Make it R-Rated next time and let's put an end to this debate as to whether it would've been better off with that rating given how I'm not entirely sure how you make it R-Rated when the thing can swallow you whole, but do it just to shut the horror fanatics up over it I suppose??

Just got back. Absolutely loved it. And you know what? For a Sunday matinee a few weeks after release, the theater was completely sold out. I loved that it didn't ape the first movie till the last act. It was totally its own thing. Lots of fun going on a new adventure with the returning cast. The black guy was totally awesome for once. Some really good tension and dread in the first half. Felt good and claustrophobic and they were bumping people off so anything goes. Statham was being a bit more of what we expect from him. It was cool seeing him him in the dad role now. Total bromance with the the Chinese commander guy. Bad guys were just full blown mustache twirling bad guys. Great stuff. CGI wasn't as good as the first time around, but more than adequate for the film. Really just pleased as punch all the way through. Had a great time.
