Was this really necessary? Denzel is clearly aged, and the audience has seen how strong Lucius is. Why is Denzel able to go toe-to-toe with Lucius? Lucius should've just taken him out in 2 seconds. I guess they felt Denzel would've felt disrespected to get a jobber's death?
This and did he even have a battle history? Wasn't he just an aristocrat? I could definitely be off-base here though.
shareI completely agree HOWEVER... if you have this complaint you should have the same energy when it comes to the Equalizer movies. Sixty year olds beating down twenty year olds is standard these days whether it is Stallone, Cruise, or Liam Neeson or Denzel is just a part of Hollywood.
While it is ridiculous I am at peace with it because I would prefer a bankable movie star in the role, instead of some no name twenty year old.
