Apparently, Hans Zimmer will not be scoring this film, and the music will instead be composed by Harry Gregson-Williams.

I am very disappointed by this, as Hans Zimmer's score for the original "Gladiator" was, IMHO, one of the best film scores in modern movie history.

Thoughts?

That's a real shame. I probably won't even see this movie, but I would probably have bought Zimmer's soundtrack for it. I loved his score for the first one.

HGW is a great composer in his own right. He did the score for an earlier epic Ridley Scott directed with Kingdom of Heaven.
