someone explain to me

wtf did i just watch?

A robot was impregnated in virtual reality and gave birth to a flying snake, and then traveled to the other side of the planet right through its molten core.

Which part confuses you?

reply

That part was rather kinda not confusing.

But: neanderthals? How? Obviously they are related to our neanderthals somehow. Is one the offspring of the other? Both genetical experiments of a different species?
A talking god that followed the humans from earth and obviously is some technological remnant of a dead or decaying species? How?

There are so many things with 0 explanations ...

reply

They never bothered to answer this. Either humans originate from this planet (makes no sense these days, because we known our evolutionary history), or humans were an experiment ran by these aliens, or humans were abducted to this planet. The thing under the sands is probably a city/ship. How an advanced civilization could happen around these giant snakes and then decline is beyond me. A lot of theories, no answers. This show doesn't care for reason, logic or common sense. Everything is possible.

By the way, the real Kepler-22B is probably a water world. So they didn't bother even to set the things in a sensible way.

I agree, and pretty much the majority or most films and tv-shows abandon all of those.

For he is the Kwasitz Hadarach lol. I certainly got a Dune feeling from this.

And what with this weird robot thing?

reply

They said that humans were there before, but they had devolved. That the planet was not suitable for habitation because of that. I had already assumed as much when they spoke about the radiation, and assumed all the voices people heard were a result of that poisoning somehow.

It is very confusing. Think the ONE answer I was looking for was where the voices came from.
