I watched it and it was really good. I followed the case pretty closely at the time and there was plenty of stuff included that I didn't know. His son David Benoit also took part and he's such a spitting image of his dad it was almost surreal watching. He seems like he grew up to be aver nice young man.

Did something seem incredibly off with the way that Chris Benoit handled Eddie Guererro's death? You would've thought that Chris was the one who lost his spouse, not Vicki. One theory that I've read, is that Chris's reaction to Eddie's death is what happens when you bond over pain. Dangerous and violent professions like wrestling or being a solider has a way of bonding people.

I would think that's as big part of it. The other thing I would say is Benoit seemed to have the emotional development of a child where he wasn't able to reach the acceptance stage of grieving.

Wrestling is like a child job for children.

Chris Benoit, you can easily say after listening to people who were close to him like Chris Jericho, Dean Malenko and the like, was a very eccentric man. He was machine-like, neurotic, and exclusive to his craft.

Let's take out the horrific thing that he did right at the very, very end of his life. Benoit one of the best in his industry and profession, but one who was so ill-adjusted to life away from the ring and society. It's kind of in hindsight, no wonder why Eddie Guererro was his anchor. So when Eddie died, Benoit mentally collapsed to the point of no return. Chavo even said it himself when he said “he mourned him like a spouse”.

I don't want to delve into the "what if" like "had Eddie lived, Chris Benoit wouldn't have killed his wife and his son". It's just that Benoit was the type of guy who didn't appear to have a lot of people he was close to. So when he actually found a true blue friend in Eddie, he clung to him because when someone that reserved and intense finds someone they click with, they're in for life. And you add in the fact that Benoit saw more of Eddie than he did of his own family it's easy to see where he'd get emotionally attached and why he and Vicki's reactions to Eddie's death were so similar.
