Rate it outta 10.

1 being bad & 10 being really great. Explaining it just in case...

Anyways, I give it a 7.5 out of 10. Solid in parts, weak in others. Glad I binged it. Can't imagine how frustrating it was for some of y'all with the weekly release thing. πŸ˜†

I give it a 9/10. Really creative and interesting, I was consistently entertained. Not perfect, but well above average.

reply

I agree. Good points. That's honestly one of the main reasons that I disliked the finale's fight & eventual "Sky Battle" between Wanda & Agatha. Cause that felt very formulaic.

And as you rightfully said, this show was very unique & creative. Wish they did something new & fresh with the eventual confrontation.

Like with the finale of Doctor Strange. Where he "bargains" with Dormammu. That was creative and I freaking loved it. One of my absolute favorite finales.

I'd give it an 8. It's not perfect, but it kept me engaged throughout. In fact, I think I might rewatch to see anything I may have missed.

reply

I agree. 8 all the way!!!

Dreadfully boring. Got halfway through the second episode and stopped. I wasn't interested in it in the first place and some friends of mine who have similar tastes recommended it to me so I figure I'd give it a shot. I'm now canceling my D+ account and pirating the rest of their content for the foreseeable future.

reply

If you only saw the first two eps, you really have no idea what the show was about, and therefore aren't qualified to judge.

It wasn't just this homage to I Love Lucy the whole way.

Canceling Disney+ over this altogether seems especially rash.

reply

I saw enough to know exactly what the show was all about. It wasn't interesting at all. And who are you to gatekeep whether or not someone is allowed to form an opinion about a show they watched? How dare you.

reply

Lol, you are certainly free to carry on being the way you are. I am sure it serves you well in life.

reply

Drop the condescending attitude.

reply

By ep 4 is where people who felt the same as you had their opinions flipped. It becomes more and more standard Marvel fare.

I liked the early eps though.

reply

"Standard Marvel fare" sounds terrible. Glad I got out when I did.

reply

You can't judge something you haven't experienced. He's right, you're wrong. I can have an opinion about things I haven't experienced too, but those opinions are invalid.

reply

Huh? I experienced 1.5 episodes of a garbage TV show. My opinion of what I saw is perfectly valid, lol wtf? Whats up with opinion gatekeepers on here? Shit is wild.

reply

An opinion formed on a lack of information is an opinion, but I'M of the opinion that those assessments are invalid.

reply

Nothing lacking in the information I received from what I saw. Get over your self.

reply

ha ha ha oh man, so funny.

reply

Yes I am, thank you.

reply

Good move. I regret investing 8 weeks or whatever it was. Agatha was a rubbish villain and the finale was a complete let down. Garbage.

reply

Ouch! Well lets hope you can make up for all that time wasted by watching something that isn't god awful.

reply

I agree totally. I mean, canned laughter? Really?

Slow start but eventually pays off. But because of the slow start I’m not really interested in rewatching it.

reply

Same. I'm just not a sitcom guy. And most of the sitcoms they're homaging & stuff for the past 5 episodes or so were before my time.

So I don't really have an appreciation for them or anything like that

reply

I expected to dislike it. Ended up loving it. 8/10

I read comics for over 35 years. I liked Vision but never much cared for Scarlet Witch. Their limited series was a let-down. I know all of their lore (other than the recent Vision series which was after I quit comics). I knew what they were going to do on this show and was not even going to give it a shot. I'm glad I did. Even though it was exactly what I expected, they did it very well. I never thought Olsen was a good casting for SW. I now am impressed with her. Everyone in the show did great.

reply

I give it a 6/10. Episodes 8 and 9 worked for me since they fit the classic superhero story. Episodes 1-4 were really lame since they were classic sitcom parodies that seemed to be cheap knockoffs with manufactured laughs. I think episodes 1 -4 should have been released during the first week since they were mediocre. Waiting a week for crap was bad.

I think they tried to do too much by incorporating elements of mystery, comedy, action, fantasy, sci-fi and romance. Episode 8 had this big reveal but it would have been easier for the audience to know what was happening from the start. I was not amused by the mock ad in episode 7 for an antidepressant when we as a nation are still recovering from the opioid crisis.

Great premise, acting and casting was good. Story fell a little flat for me, very little progression until episode 8 and the finale felt very rushed. Would have loved to see more of what makes Wanda and vision tick as characters.

I also thought Kathryn Hahn as Agatha was quite a miscast, too silly not scary enough imo
