Great show, great entertainment, but one question (spoilers)

I could nitpick here and there, but overall give it a 9 / 10.
Loved the philosophical conversation between Vision and White Vision, I could listen to it for hours.

Yet about the casting of Evan Peters.. it made everybody think and talk for the last four weeks, but it turned out he was just a random guy called Ralph who happened to be living next door. No multiverse - X-men connection whatsoever (which is fine). Was this misdirection really worth it, or was it too much?

I think the fact that it turned out to simply be a coincidence was a huge slap in the face, really. Him looking like that meant nothing to anyone on the show. Agatha only picked him because he lived in that house. That's it?! There had to be a connection to the multiverse for him to make any sense whatsoever- as in Wanda is clearly confused with reality so a Quicksilver from another universe would confuse her but also make some sense. Her confused mind pulled in the wrong one. I'd totally buy that. But this? Bunch of bull.

Yeah that was a big disappointment

I say this misdirect wasn’t worth it. As amazing as it was to see Peters in the MCU, this reveal made me feel like it would have been better to just bring Aaron Taylor-Johnson back or do away with “Fietro” completely. Peters character turning out to be someone other than a multiverse Quicksilver was no less obvious as him actually being Quicksilver (a not-so surprising misdirect.) The difference is, him being revealed as *a* real Quicksilver would’ve been great+preferable.

I suppose a reveal like this was expected, albeit it was more disappointing than I thought it would be. Very reminiscent of the Mandarin reveal in Iron Man 3 (which admittedly I always found hilarious), but I’d argue this is worse considering Peters is known and beloved for his portrayal of a Marvel character that many would’ve loved to see crossover into the MCU — and yet his character seemingly turned out to be a nobody here. If this is truly all they brought him to this universe for, then imo Peters’ casting was a waste.

Having said that! Like some hopeful fans, I’m hoping this reveal itself was a misdirect and that Peters’ character will later be revealed as Woo’s missing witness and/or there’s more to his character (in other words, we’ll find out he’s been Quicksilver all along). Call it a pipe dream at this point, but if they’re going to start dealing with the multiverse soon (MAYBE it won’t be what fans thought it would be though) and WandaVision is part of the same story arc as No Way Home and especially Multiverse of Madness, then not all is lost, lol. At any rate, while I won’t say I wasn’t amused by the ‘Bohner’ reveal, it was ultimately a huge letdown (for now). Fantastic finale nonetheless.

It was brilliant. A fresh red herring for the fanboys. Evan Peters wasn't in the MCU, so using him as a fake Pietro just helped sell the fake.

I think it is one of the most clever things done yet in the MCU.

It was too much. I think what they were doing was fine. Here's a walking easter egg of sorts, kind of a cute nod that set fan theories a buzzing, and he served his purpose. They should have dropped it there. Never shown him again. To go a step further and clearly define that he was just some dude was a slap in the face. They could have gone a step further and had him disappear when the hex retracted across him. Then we'd be all wait, he really wasn't a real person? Or something. They kind of dropped the ball in just the wrong place.

I think it also means that that's the last we'll ever be seeing of him. Since they used him like that, when the X-Men finally do show up in the MCU, they probably won't be using Peters as Quicksilver. They likely never were. But that's a bittersweet send off for a fan favorite character.
