FFS Loki is the setup to the multiverse! Cool it with the timeline stuff
Or something...
share...huh?
shareObviously the "timeline stuff" is the setup for the next round of Marvel films, Loki is going to fuck up the timeline and the Avengers and their pals are going to spend the next 10-100 films trying to straighten out the resulting mess.
Forgive us for thinking about the subject that's going to occupy the nerd portion of our brains for the next decade!
Yeah, I think you're right.
"No multiverse", the fascists at the TVA tell Loki.
But we already know Loki takes them down, since Spiderman is going to be in multiple universes.
As well as Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness
shareWe don’t know for sure about Spider-Man, but the confirmed casting of Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina sure does suggest it.
And of course it’s heavily implied by the inclusion of Dr. Strange as Peter’s new mentor (I’m assuming), when Strange’s own movie includes “Multiverse” in its title.
or something.
Yeah, we know that, was clear from the first episode. Still doesn't excuse the plot holes around the timeline(s) so far. Unless they somehow explain it in the last 2 episodes.
There are no plot holes. It's all fiction.
shareI guess you don't know what "plot holes" means :D
"In fiction, a plot hole, plothole or plot error is a gap or inconsistency in a storyline that goes against the flow of logic established by the story's plot.[1] Such inconsistencies include things as illogical, unlikely or impossible events,[2] and statements or events that contradict earlier events in the storyline."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plot_hole
Shows you don't know the extent of fiction.
shareShows how ignorant you are ;)
shareNo. Shows how easily you are manipulated.
shareNo clue what you mean by that. Inconsistencies are going to bother some viewers while others will gloss right over them and enjoy the show. It's just personal preference.
shareOf course. I'm quite fed up with the lack of care the Loki creators give for consistency and have decided not to bother at all with logic in Marvel films anymore. One scene a superhero can do stuff and the next they can't. But it's the same in the comic books so it is BY DESIGN. Ergo: there are no plot holes.
shareWith respect to characters' inconsistencies in powers, I agree. All of these characters have base power levels as well as the ability to temporarily surpass them through feats. Furthermore, characters' capabilities will fluctuate to accommodate a story. I accept that.
There are other inconsistencies that seem like mistakes, not conscious adjustments to make a better story.
Agreed.
I'm still hoping the last two episodes will clean it up.
I'm thinking that this isn't the TVA at all, but rather something created by a Loki/Sylvie. The sacred timeline is fake and just a way to keep things the way Loki/Sylvie want it. The shovel from the first episode means she's been that far into the future and has access to future tech. Maybe the shovel has more significance than just a reference to Kang. Maybe that's where the pruning batons come from (they might not do what we've been led to believe).
