My most anticipated ComicBook show

This and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness are my most anticipated Marvel projects. Spoilers below...

And the premiere episode was absolutely fantastic. Definitely lived up to my expectations. I love the "exposition dump" by the animated clock. I genuinely enjoyed the new setting for the show.

I love the new status quo. The most powerful things in the MCU so far, The Infinity stones aren't really THAT big of a deal in the bigger picture/Multiverse. They're just paper weights to some people.

There are way more powerful objects, threats & beings in the MCU now. Loved Owen Wilson in this way more than I thought I would. He's absolutely awesome & charming. Tom Hiddleston is still as amazing as always. Loved the character development.

Looking forward to more

I find this a problem, actually. Power escalation can be very damaging to any fictional universe. Every threat must be more powerful than the one before. Now the infinity stones are not that big a deal. In a year or two the TVA is relegated to a minor agency in something bigger. Then that becomes minor as well.

I don't have a problem with an agency that monitors time. Its not a new concept. But, despite the (SPOILER) Loki variant that is killing TVA agents they seem entirely too powerful. You get the impression they could pull Galactus in with one of their little collars, or the In-Betweener, or the Living Tribunal. That starts to get ridiculous.

Honestly, the more I think about it, I feel like the main reason that the gems don't work in the TVA is cause it it exists out of time. And the Infinity Stones, at least in the comics, don't work in every reality.

So I feel like the TVA aren't really as powerful as they think or seem. They just hadn't met a formidable foe, yet

Wonder if we're ever gonna meet the "Space Lizards" or even if they exist anymore.

That is possible. And I am certainly willing to see where it goes. I've just seen the power escalation thing before and it rapidly becomes difficult to tell interesting stories. We'll just have to wait and see.

I get what you mean. As a comic reader for years, I'm kinda used to it. Just like killing characters just to bring them back a few months later

These big bads, one bigger than the last & Universe ending threats and events thing has been such a usual never ending thing in comics. Especially in recent years. I've kinda grown emotionally numb to it.

So, I get it. Really hope the MCU doesn't gOo that route. But having said that, I wanna see what or who THE next big threat is

I am also a bit concerned about the implications on free will. Whatever the Time Keepers have decreed as the correct timeline must be. If people make the "wrong" decision they must be taken into custody and sentenced. And someone is guilty for any variance, even if they have no idea they are doing something "wrong." Check into work late, guilty, if you were supposed to be on time. Clock in on time and guilty if you were supposed to be on time. Make the decision you are "supposed to" by the Time Keepers decree and you are a criminal.

As I said above, I'm willing to see where this goes. Hiddleston is delightful as Loki and he can certainly keep me entertained.

Let's hope it works out.

Maybe they are still free to carve their future as long as the future hasn't happened yet but in this case loki's future had already happened, he was supposed to be imprisoned in asgard and he escaped.

That wasn't the impression I got from the exposition; but this is only the first episode. Things can evolve.
