I'm not impressed by the appearance of the Atlantean so far. Very underwhelming. I hope the actor can compensate with an outstanding performance. They missed an opportunity to cast an Asian actor in a role that's not technically Asian but would align with the look of comics.

shareI am not Asian either. You're the one advocating for increased representation by a group that just received a degree of representation. I don't believe that representation is a zero-sum Bucket List and I personally find it obnoxious to attempt to pit one underrepresented group against another in a quest for "Equality". Marvel is doing a very complicated but worthwhile juggling act of telling stories, making money, entertaining fans, and expanding norms.
As a long-time reader of their comics I have always been impressed with when and how they expanded their universe.
I think they look great myself. Love the Aztec/Maya influence.
