Wow those four little girls are annoying

I hit mute every time they come on screen

reply

I think they are adorable.

The youngest one I find adorable but the group as a whole (like any group of young girls really) can get quite annoying.

Why the show decided on this I don't really get. Plus it would be more likely for a career woman to have 0-2 kids.

Either way they just have too much air time.

reply

I find them adorable. They behave just as “ real kids” do. Not precocious, “too big for their britches “ kids most shows have these days.
It’s refreshing to see this.

reply

I feel the same. They seem like real kids: often slightly annoying but also adorable (in that annoying way that is typical of small kids). I think the show is also addressing some of the ways technology can introduce evil into the lives of children, e.g. addictive games that allow predators to access children under cover of being online "friends" etc.

Kristin’s Girls

I was somewhere between “annoyed” and “dislike” in the beginning. I’ve grown to love them. They are, collectively, funny, smart, endearing and, yes, lovable. I am impressed by how meticulously the show runners have developed their characters, which also implicitly reflects how good a mother Kristin is.

I guess it shows what kind of person I am, but I’m glad Kristin spilled La Rough’s brains all over the floor. Don’t ever threaten a mother’s children.

reply

Yes indeed.
This season doesn’t show them as much , I guess they are growing up.

reply

No, they’re great. Love how they interact with each other, their mom and Ben. They really brighten up a very dark show.

reply

That's the problem. It is a dark show, and they are very out of place in it. Undercuts the tone.

reply

There’s a lot of humor in that show besides them.

reply

adult, dark humor. The girls are out of place.

reply

Not really.

reply

I disagree. They’re the reason their mom is so protective and fighting Leland so vindictively.

reply

A big part of it is that they aren't the most competent actors, like a lot of kids, and it completely takes me out of it. Also, I'm only just beginning season 2, so maybe they're importance will be made clearer.

reply

They didn't bother me until mid way through season 2 when they started all talking excitedly at the same time.

reply

That’s my favorite part. 😄
