Do You Think This Will Kill James Gunn's DCU?

It's only the second release but I'm not convinced Superman is going to make it.

Even Marvel fans have grown incredibly tired of the "it's all a big laugh" nature of their output, one that the Guardians films fully embrace. If he does the same with his team Superman film, that could well flop and then this will be next up.

If this does flop I hope they return to making (less) of the standalone superhero films, which aren't buddy team ups.

Let's face it, the best superhero films are the original Superman, Keaton's Batman, maybe some of Bales, the Maguire Spidermans (minus 3) and maybe even, the at least interesting, first Hulk film.

What do these all have in common? That's right, no Avengers style team adventures.
