Story is very interesting, but so many hateful characters (Spoilers)

I really like watching this series for the story itself. It was also well produced, setting, camera-work....all very well done. With 9x episodes it also had the perfect length for me.

But I really had to force myself to sit through it anyways. The majority of the characters are just really spiteful and hateful. It's mostly not the actors/actresses fault, but the the characters they portrayed. Barely anybody I could relate to or like. Ok, maybe Vivians husband and Todds wife.

Also the accents were really hard to endure. I know its said that they were heavily based on the real accents, but it was really very annyoing at times.

And most of all: "Stop making stupid people famous". Ok, Anna was not stupid, but you know what I mean. I really didn't feel any kind of sympathy towards Anna. And Vivian was so supportive - she was fully Team Anna at the end (completely ignoring husband and newborn child). And even more so for Neff. Can't believe she was so blind and couldn't see reality at all. Completely brainwashed by Anna. As a concierge I thought you quite need a bit of brain for a good hotel. She was a really annoying character.

Now the real Anna got the Netflix deal, only went to prison for two years. Now under house arrest. Doesn't seem right or enough to me. And me watching the series makes me part of it. Oh well....

And: I'm just not a fan of Anna Chlumsky. At least not in this role. Her over-acting and facial expressions were really hard to take. Her best acting in this series match the worst acting of Kristen Johnston, who has similar acting abilities.
