shareLOL.
Weird eh.
I think more people write about this show than actually watch it.
I have heard more about Ruby Rose than actually seen her in any form of TV shows or movies.
Is it some type of organic hype? After finally watching Batwoman On Demand there's just nothing interesting about the series or Ruby's acting.
I don't get the hype about Ruby either. She was just a music show host down here in Australia. She isn't a very good actress nor does she have any charisma that makes you want to watch her.
shareShe's probably jumping ship to save her career. Why remain on a show you know is universally hated on?
shareDid she not read the script for the 1st season?
I would've jumped ship before even signing on.
Even Chloe Sevigny recovered from her career after Brown Bunny,
I highly doubt Ruby Rose could do the same after Batwoman.
In a showbiz world, everything about the pitch for the movie would have sounded great:
-Superhero stuff can be a career-maker these days, giving actors a tonne of money and steady work in an unsteady industry
-The woke/Feminist agenda is very trendy and popular with Hollywood and many others in the entertainment world. It's unlikely that anybody in that world would perceive the backlash/anti-SJW/Feminist groups to be that large.
She also probably didn't read the script. They probably greenlit the show to capitalize on the DC TV universe general popularity and success, then drew up their top choices for Batwoman and when Merryl Streep wasn't available they called up Rose and pitched her "You get to be Batwoman! Here's the character, here's a breakdown of the comics, etc." She likely signed on hearing general pitches and plotlines, but not the actual, finished script (which she might've had input in, depending on how much weight she had in the negotiations).
She likely was digging the Feminist Bat-comic angle and didn't read past that.
Or, y'know, it was a bunch of money.
It's also possible that she just doesn't have good taste in scripts. Sean Connery passed on Lord of the Rings and The Matrix before finally picking League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Does the new actress have to be gay? Stephanie Hunt who would be great in this played a gay student in Friday Night Lights.

The show is great. The haters are sexist people and sheeps
shareIf it's so great, why is no one watching it? It's almost as if, if you make a show targeting a niche demographic and tell everyone else not to watch because it's not made for them, it'll do badly. Shocker.
shareI'm I sheep, so what? You're just a sad speciest!
shareSpeaking of sheep . . .
Oh! The Irony!
did the show go lesbian? could have helped the ratings...
shareSome of us will her truly miss her. I can understand why she is leaving though. Just too many haters in addition to on set injuries
shareBut but it ticked all the diversity boxes. Why would them simps and soys leave? It's the perfect fantasy series for them folks. Oh I know why, the patriarchy forced her to leave. It's all the haters, sexists, and misogynists banded together to attack miss diverse. This is why we need more actors like her and EVEN MORE SHOWS LIKE BATDYK err BATWAHMEN.

I think in most part she left after realizing the show filming up in Canada for a long time and they didn't care about hyping her there. She was getting to ignored with the public while being in Canada. Her head is to big to live in Canada so move back to US and get hyped again.
