Final Episode Question

I, like many others, have a lot of problems with the final episode.

But my biggest question is: Who were the two teenage apparitions that appeared to Ralph that caused him to go back and re-confront El Cuco, now doubting that it was dead.

- They couldn't have been the two boys from 1925 who got lost in the cave. They were older and dressed in more modern clothes.
- Was one of them Ralph's son? I couldn't tell, and I think he would have mentioned that to his wife later.
- Were they other victims of El Cuco that we were not aware of?

Any ideas?

It was the kid who had just been killed as well as the cop's son who had been killed long ago.
