shareHBO has Game of Thrones as a pornographic bloodbath, but Elmer can't have a gun?
shareWell, it could obviously be argued that one is for children and one is for adults.
shareA fair point.
Nevertheless, I think hand-wringing over Elmer's gun is a little silly. All the kids that grew up on Bugs Bunny didn't go psychopathic in disproportionate rates, so I doubt it'd be a problem. It's clearly just some kind of political posturing.
I don't disagree. I grew up with a knowledge and healthy respect for guns, and it's never occurred to me to use one irresponsibly.
shareYeah, it's a knotty subject because on the one hand, people who grew up around guns tend to be very responsible with them. On the other hand, a reduction in guns does lower horrific expressions of antisocial tendencies, let's say.
But the bottom line here is that removing Elmer Fudd's "hunter" hobby and firearms is a ridiculous gesture.
I’m glad I don’t give money to HBO.
shareSatan featured in Disney and Fleischer prior to the Hays Code in the 30s. Wecome back!

The 200 new cartoons, which will feature other Looney Tunes “stars,” will still have an edge — Porky Pig sucks the poison out of Daffy Duck’s leg in one skit, Sylvester the Cat is haunted by the ghost of his traditional target, Tweety Bird, and Satan even makes a cameo in one toon.
Congrats!

sharewow, messed up, so hacking a rabbit up with scythe is better than a gun?
