My lord what the hell was that muddled pile-of-mush-mouthed-shit accent he was going for? Some American, Irish, British cockney catastrophe.

He over did it, bigtime, ruining what might have otherwise been an almost passable Lovecraft pastiche. I'm a little surprised nobody told him to tone it down, or recast if he refused; I'd hardly call Glover Hollywood royalty.

From what I've read he is simply awful to work with and wildly sensitive these days. I would've simply not cast him.
