Having Michael be this pathetic, sad character the entire movie really hurt the movie for me. Ryan is a funny as hell actor and can pull something like this off, but they should have had him snap out of it like 15 minutes into the movie.
shareThats a big part of my dislike in the movie. In the first film Michael was a badass and had funny quirks, but in this sequel he is the butt of jokes and almost a total screwup. Its like a regression for his character, it doesnt make sense.
But the saving grace was seeing these characters reunited again, and there were some genuine funny moments and heartfelt moments.
This was appalling to an already average movie.
