Yep, too much attitude on this ship. That latino girl constantly swearing and yelling at everyone, she was trained for this sensitive mission of First Contact, and she's acting like an Orange is the New Black prisoner.
Although Katee carries the show, and there are some highlights with scenarios and set pieces, the crew is probably the most unrealistic and unfortunately weakest portion.
The funny thing is these people were chosen to make peaceful first contact with aliens, and they can't even get along with each other for 5 minutes at a time.

shareKatee, her husband, and their daughter are the only characters you feel any attachment to. Not the brain dead government bureaucrats, not the obnoxious blogger, and certainly not that entire ship's complement barely out of their teens.
Even the girl who heroically sacrificed herself for the good of the mission managed to be annoying right to the end. She literally didn't stop yapping until her face fell off. The new CO is a wuss so let's mutiny. Why the hell not? I'm sure they were kidding about the whole court martial thing.
Sackhoff really is quite difficult to stomach in this series.
