Hilary Swank played a boxer in Million Dollar Baby.

Betty Gilpin played a wrestler on GLOW.

Perhaps...why they were cast in their roles here?

I was thinking of Karate Kid 4 when Swank was doing her kata, but yeah they were likely cast for their fighting experience.
