I liked it
Sometimes I think back to when I was broke and $5 mattered. This film captures that. It addresses childhood trauma without being overly schmaltzy. The more I think about it, the more I love it. Old Dolio ftw!

shareIt was okay. Performances were really good. Wood plays tortured well.
I actually lived next to some neighbors that lived this lifestyle. Man and wife with a daughter who had a kid. Felt so bad for that kid, having to put up with sleazy grownups. Bought the kid a pizza once, five minutes after he took it home, grandpa knocked on my door trying to sell it to me.
But I digress....interesting film. Didn’t realize that was Debra Winger until a few scenes in.
It's a easy 1hr 40min watch, The whole cast is great especially love the scenes between Evan Rachel Wood and Gina Rodriquez, really sweet and kind of quirky. That's why I'm surprised someone did a thread on here saying the lesbian romance came out of nowhere. It was set up the moment Old Dolio and Melanie clock eyes with one another. And it's major chunk of the films third act. I kind of wish the film dealt more into the love story as for me it was strongest part of the film seen Old Dolio out of her element.
The film has some lulls here and there and it's 6.4 rating on IMDB is about right I feel.
