The "villains" in this feel like goofy monsters from a kids tv show

In the vein of Power Rangers or something. When the Necromancer dude showed up in episode 7 of season 1 i had to stop. We already had dragons, tree creatures, gargoyles, but then you had a zombie show up with clown music playing and him hamming it up in comedic fashion "I'am the Necromancer!!! you must fear me!!!!" then Rick scratching head like he was in a kids comedy show going "Um i have no idea who you are" then the zombie feeling insulted......

I mean what is this shit? Doesn't even feel like it belongs to anything from TVD or TO world, its like a Saturday morning kids show like Big Wolf On Campus and Beetleborgs. This show is a slap in the face to TVD and TO, it has no business even saying its connected to those shows.
