Jurassic Park III is better than this.
And that movie had a talking dinosaur in a dream sequence. But at least that bad movie had the sense to only be 1.5 hours long.
shareI thought Dominion was 2/3 of a good movie. It falls apart a bit in the third act, unfortunately, because I was enjoying it quite a bit up until that point.
Based on the strength of Acts I and II, I'd say it's still better than JPIII, though it's unfortunate we didn't get a more satisfying conclusion to the JW trilogy.
"Dominion" didn't give me Jurassic Park vibes. None of the dinosaurs felt authentically there because the CGI was bad. That sequence where Chris Pratt is riding his motorcycle to the plane was poorly executed. I didn't like JPIII at all, but at least I felt the dinosaurs were a threat and and the movie was way shorter.
shareI didn't have a problem with the CGI, but I will agree that it didn't really FEEL like a Jurassic Park movie. During the part where they were globe-trotting it felt more like a spy thriller than it did a JP film, so it certainly felt like something different for the franchise, but I did find it entertaining so I didn't complain much.
It's pretty crazy how erratic this whole franchise has been. Only the first film is great. Everything else has been very hit and miss.
