What a disaster.

I need to get this off my chest, this movie is not good.

1. Jurassic World was stupid, but the plot, the structure and the big bad monster did work.
2. Fallen Kingdom is a complete mess. Absolutely braindead and the first and the second half of the movie did not match in tone. The plot was sonsensical BS.

Jurassic World Dominion:

- The premise is nonsense: At the end of Fallen Kingdom, a small number of dinosaurs get released into the wild. How on earth would these dinosaurs survive? Very low populations vs the biggest threat on earth - Humans. We would have plenty of reasons to get rid of them. The ecological threat, the physical threat, the damage to properties and businesses or just for fun. After a weak, they would be all caught or dead (Exceptions: Compies, the airborne ones and the mosa might be harder to get rid off).

- The plot: Error 404 Interesting story not found. The first 10-15 minutes were so boring. Scene after scene after scene, a rushed and lame setup. BIG BOOM, we get the main plot. All of it! From here on out, there will be no big reveals, no big plot twists, NOTHING. You know it all. All you get is 1 dinosaur in, 60s chase scene, dinosaur out. Next location! New Dinosaur in, 60s chase scene, dinosaur out... ... Thats it... Why do you make the face? I told you, that is it.

- The characters: Lets be honest, you need a microscope to find any meaningful character development. Does skill, knowledge or experience matter? NOPE. Blank faces wouldn't have changed the movie in anyway. And the bad guy is (again) so predictable and boring. There is nothing inspiring in this movie.

Conclusion:
That movie was so predictable and lame. In prior movies, we had atleast one or two dinosaurs to fear. These animals felt like charactes. There was always that "not you again" moment. In this one, that feeling of danger, threat and despair is completely lost. Dinosaurs get thrown in and out. Discarded to be never seen again.

Disappointing 4/10 on a good day.

Agreed, another awful screenplay shat out by Colin Trevorrow, Derek Connelly and one of the writers of the awful Pacific Rim: Uprising.

For every well made big budget blockbuster we get like Top Gun: Maverick or The Batman where actual care has been put into the story and the screenplay we also get a Jurrassic World: Dominion where the story and screenplay are an afterthought.

Hopefully they get someone else for the next film as this is twice Trevorrow has shat the bed with these films. I’ll give him credit for the first Jurassic World, like you said it had a lot of elements that worked to make it entertaining but these last two films have had few redeeming qualities whatsoever.

I can not comprehend, how these movies can exist. And i struggle to understand how anybody can rate these movies 10/10.

Just to single out 1 issue - the stupidity in these movies:
- Jurassic world: How is it possible, that passengers can control the gyrospheres? I bet someone would have tried to run a dinosaur over.
- Fallen Kingdom: The "point laser at target - dinosaur kill" thing. If you can point a laser at somebody, you can also use a gun!
- Dominion: Drum roll please... THE LASER RETURNS. HOW??? I can't...

Who writes that **** and thinks "Oh yeah! Thats some good stuff"

Bringing in a clone (Maisie) of a character (Charlotte Lockwood) that we’ve never seen until this new film. Who honestly thought this was a good subplot that was worth telling?!

So not only are they writing dumb things they’re also adding in pointless filler subplots to pad out the running time.

Ambers, I’ve not seen the film, nor perhaps ever shall, but I know clever, confident and passionate writing when I see it. I wanted you to know. Websites like this need contributors like you.
