I love a good lighthouse movie, but too bad it was shot entirely in black and white

Shutter Island was a good lighthouse movie because it was shot entirely in color, not lousy black and white.

I love black and white but hated the 4x3 format. I wish this was black and white but widescreen.

The near-total loss of black-and-white movies by the 1960s is probably the greatest tragedy of cinema. Just because low-IQ people don't like black-and-white was no reason to let it die.
