Who was the father of her daughter? And why was she pretending to be paralyzed? Was this a Munchausen by proxy thing? I don't think it was because in that instance the mother would be looking for sympathy and attention, but, in this movie, nobody even knew she had a daughter.

shareI expected to learn Sue Anne had killed the dad, or he'd be buried under the basement. I also wasn't sure if the daughter was actually meant to be healthy, but her mother was keeping her sick with drugs she'd stolen from the vets, so she wouldn't be exposed to life at school.
It seemed like there was a little missing or cut from that thread.
I also was left wondering a lot about the daughter. Just didn't seem to fit in - her being in school that one time, just sitting there and the awkward interaction with the main character. If she sometimes went to school - don't schools have a responsibility to make sure students are alright if they don't show up? She would have ridden a handicap vehicle to school? And back? Didn't seem like a well formed character in the plot.
shareI want to know how the daughter got down the stairs IN HER WHEELCHAIR at the end of the movie. In a prior shot we saw her wheelchair upstairs next to the entrance to her bedroom. Then suddenly she's down at the front door in it lol.
