Bland, unrealistic, small film with great photography

I had no idea what the movie was about when I started it. I was expecting some sort of mystery/thriller with a twist. It was that, but it felt almost empty and bland.

I didn't believe the main character for a second throughout the movie. I didn't believe the 'villain' either. When the climax arrived there was a fresh twist that was a little interesting, but it was too late and, frankly, the movie ended right after it happens. The viewer doesn't get time to marinate it and let it digest before the movie cuts to black. Frankly, I didn't really think it mattered.

The positive is it looks fantastic. Great use of lighting, some interesting shots, it sets a nice mood visually... the director has potential with a better script.
