This was one of the worst and most boring films I've ever seen. Sure the actors were great but that was all. After reading all the positive reviews I can't believe I even watched the same film. I stuck it out til the end hoping the cliched themes/scenes would have some sort of payoff, maybe an incredible twist or horrific reveal, there was nothing. Just that ridiculous excuse for an ending. I've seen this type of film so many times and its all been done better before. The only horror was the price of the cinema ticket and how much money they wasted on making it.

I agree it was terrible. Deliberately convoluted to make up for lack of substance and originality. The ending is actually similar to ''the witch'' (2015). Through all the mess, boringness and gore of the movie it strangely had a happy ending for the teenage son.

The only braindead person here, is the idiot who actually believes that someone needs to be paid to praise a film that has already been praised by the VAST MAJORITY of critics and the public.
That's 3 times you've told people to "ignore" me now lol.
You are just further proving how deluded you are. It' just embarrassing now, mate. Stop it!
The people agree with me, if anyone should be ignored here it is you.
There's literally about 3 or 4 people here that hated the film lol. The rest of us understand what a good film is....

Yes, the movie was crap, to say the least. As to the actors I've found it impossible to believe that such prime examples of human species as Gabriel Byrne and Toni Colette could potentially give birth to the ugly subhumans cast as their children.
