Its not across the Atlantic. Greenland is in North America.

shareSome of the ocean west of Greenland (in the lower) side is considered a part of the Atlantic ocean and you can surely take that path to Greenland. However this is only a small part of the ocean so the to use the word across is misleading since its generally used when traveling from one side to the other between the continents. And yes Greenland definitely is a part of North America geographically although politically it is European because of its ties with Denmark.
