Ewan Mcgregor Calls Birds Of Prey A ‘Feminist Film’

McGregor recently spoke to Birds of Prey's script and message, saying:

What interested me with Birds of Prey is that it's a feminist film. It is very finely written. There is in the script a real look on misogyny, and I think we need that. We need to be more aware of how we behave with the opposite sex. We need to be taught to change. Misogynists in movies are often extreme: they rape, they beat women ... and it is legitimate to represent people like that, because they exist and they are obviously the worst. But in the Birds of Prey dialogues, there is always a hint of everyday misogyny, of those things you say as a man you do not even realize, mansplaining ... and it's in the script in a very subtle way. I found that brilliant.

Sadly though, women are real assholes. There's many words for a female asshole, cunt, bitch, implications that you are acting like you're having your period, and so on. That's because all of those things are true about many women.

That's because they have no negative qualities that stand out.

Arthur Schopenhauer, famous philosopher, wrote an essay a long time ago about how Europeans would end up in femalecentric society where generally stupid and obnoxious females are treated like queen bees with males running around to serve them, although they deserve no respect. He attributed that to Europe's history of chivalry where you can't say or do anything negative to a woman.

We are seeing this today.

We have "toxic masculinity" but no talk about what "toxic femininity" is all about. It's being a slut, a whore, impossible to deal with, narcissistic, selfish, etc. It is good to call out women and be "misogynistic" because people need "shaming" in order to learn about and correct their behavior. Women of course started "anti shaming" movements because they do many shameful things and are extremely narcissistic, and don't want to hear it or change.

That doesn't mean anything. Worst women use to be toxic while worst men use to be violent. Women and men are different, both can be real assholes, BUT both display different types of negative behaviors. Both are assholes in a different way.

Feminism uses to focus in the disadvantages women had while bypassing their privileges. Since women and men are different, you can get whatever outcome you want just cherry-picking what serves you best. Of course, you can use the same system to reach the opposite outcome, concluding that women are assholes while men are poor good-hearted victims. That way of thinking is as bad as the feminist one, it's just its mirror image.

I didn't say men are giving or whatever.

I focused on the fact that women are assholes and very toxic people. There is no solution for this, no change of self-improvement, if people constantly lie about women.

Women have been traditionally devoted mothers and hardworkers.

In general, if you spoil people, they'll grow up jerks. Modern society spoil women, giving them any right and no obligations. It's normal that the majority of them have become toxic. But this is not a women's characteristic, this is a characteristic of this generation of women.

I don't recall the eugenics part, but there is no such thing as "antisemitism" because jews are part of a made up cult, which is a hate group. That's their propaganda to deflect criticism of their nonsense.

Schopenhauer was pretty much a social super genius and of course he's going to see long before anyone that religion is a scam to promote the members.

To those who need simple things explained to them:

This doesn't mean there's a shred of actual feminism in the film, there probably isn't. I doubt anyone involved in the making of the film has any idea what feminism actually is. They're just using the word "feminist" as a marketing tool, trying to interest the middle-class female demographic.

Let me guess by "subtle" he means Harley Quinn is beating some white dude senseless and McGregor's character says "You can't do that, those are my men!" and Harley says "Uhh, I'm a strong independent woman and I can do whatever I want hehe!".

It's that subtlety we've all come to love.
