Let’s not forget these select few are not the critics and were invited as per usual to create buzz. They’re not gonna say anything negative.

The only people calling it overwhelmingly positive are the ones on board with all the woke agenda bullshit. And how can anyone call it "faithful to Tolkien" when it blatantly isn't. Even ignoring the multiracial stuff there's the compressed timeline and things like Celeborn being dead just so Galadriel can have the spotlight all to herself. Also supposedly Finrod dies in battle instead of being killed by a werewolf.

reply

Wait, Celeborn is dead in this? What the hell.

reply

*The early shill opinions are in. Seriously, who do they think they're fooling with this.

reply

When it comes out the show will ruin many a reputation.

reply

Brought it upon themselves.

reply

"Stunning and brave! Stunning and brave!" Bet they say that a lot.

reply

Yeah brave just means woke.

reply

Well, if it is a show about strong female characters in leadership positions, which looks like it is, any negative opinion will risk being called misogynistic.

But it is lord of rings, so I think most people would at least watch the first episode.

reply

They have all the bases covered. They have women, black people and (probably) LGBTQ+ so if it turns out to be crap and you don't praise it with a shit eating grin then you are a mysognist racist homophobe troll.

reply

"cinematic masterpiece" aka sucks up to women and gays

reply

Everything I have seen from this in the form of trailers, cast and crew interviews, images and such doesn’t inspires confidence but rather makes it feel like it will be a disaster.

reply

Can’t argue with that.
