WTH was MIMA

My take was that it was some kind of artificial intelligence system that was capable of reading and transmitting some kind of brain waves. It was kind of programmed to focus on natural settings, but because it was self-learning and people were increasingly distressed, the AI became fixated on negative emotions and scenes.

I think people initially didn't care because they either had seen it before or thought standing in some nature park was dumb or irrelevant. As the nature of the problem was revealed, more people wanted to use it because they were trapped.

Apparently some super advanced AI, so advanced, it must have become self aware but then quickly "kills" itself out of grief. I mean more than an AI, what with being able to read your mind and manipulate your thoughts.
