If Only Maud Had One Real Friend

That's what I kept thinking the entire time. Maud is so terribly alone. Amanda even says as much, "You must be the loneliest girl I've ever seen."

Maud has no family to speak of. And when she loses her job at the hospital that support group disappears. Joy attempts to reach out near the end but sadly it's too little, too late. A real friend could've helped her channel her faith in a positive direction instead of a self-destructive one.

Strangely fitting that this should've been released in 2020 when so many people were experiencing intense loneliness.

My biggest takeaway was that when individuals don't have anyone who checks up on them or listens to them they can be driven to madness.
