It's.... ok
Started with a bang. It's got Pacino acting like an old Jewish guy and he pulls it off. It has some eerie flashbacks that leave a mark.
Then they went full 1970s with Foxy Brown, Serpico-actor guy, and Bruce Lee Nam vet. Then they toss in a black lesbian FBI agent too. It's very diverse and woke for a 1970s period piece. I'm all for equality but it does seem pretty forced. It takes me out of the main story time and time again.
For some reason (probably because it had Pacino), I was excited to see a realistic drama portraying Nazi hunters like Wiesenthal, but instead it is more of a Tarantino-esque Inglorious Basterds romp with sprinkles of dread and gore with comedy.
Honestly, Dylan Baker crushes it as the bureaucrat though, and he owns every scene he is in. He's one of those "oh it's that guy" actors but in this, he shines. Too bad the first season wasn't just about them searching for this guy and this guy alone, and he's right there in front of them on TV the whole time.
