Is it realistic to believe Pacino as a Jewish person?
I ask with respect.
shareOf course it is. Do you somehow think that he doesn't "look Jewish"??? Corollary: do you think there is a "Jewish" look? (Hint: there isn't.)
If you're wondering if he can "act" Jewish (again. . .corollary: there's a "Jewish" set of mannerisms/rhythms/whatever), then that's a non-issue as well, if you stop to think about it. Even if such a thing were true (Hint: it isn't), it's called "acting." And he's pretty good at it.
Is it realistic to believe that Amanda Seyfried and Jon Stewart are bumping fuzzies?
Just kidding, I don't know if they are in an intimate relationship or not.
You bring up an interesting question, actually. Christian Bale, for instance, always just becomes whatever character he is playing, but I totally didn't buy him as a Jew in American Hustle , and I know from discussions with people that I wasn't the only one.
I mean, who'd have thunk it - THAT was the role that defeated him? Playing a Jew? 🤓
Pacino is passable thus far (one episode into the show), although I do wonder why they didn't get Dustin Hoffman instead.
Since he hasn't played anyone but Al Pacino since SOAW, I would say "No".
shareHe is playing the character very well. Much better than Hoffa.
shareI am watching the first episode and I can't understand a damn thing he's saying.
