I like Hanks, but this does not look good
Looks quite bad actually. Trailer is filled with cliches and lame jokes. Probably will be a flop as I can't see this one playing much to the under 50 crowd.

shareThe premise alone has piqued my interest.
shareNot for me!
shareI watched the original Swedish "A Man Called Ove". It was pretty good. A lot of similarity.
shareI wonder if when Tom Hanks looks at this poster if he feels it was really worth his immortal soul?
shareHi. Part of the over 50 crowd. Speaking for myself, I grew up watching real actors, before the days of special effects being the real star of all the movies. The actors had to act.
Hanks is actually old enough to remember that, but apparently spending all those decades basically playing "decent," "everyman," or "affable" didn't teach him that putting a scowl on his face doesn't make him believably grumpy.
I agree -- it looks awful!
It's very common now for movies to integrate car commercials into them, but this is the first time i've seen them do it in the trailer.
I have a bad feeling we've already seen the best of the funny bits and the actual film is going be very schmaltzy.
Don’t judge a movie by a trailer. It’s a very heart warming touching film
