Don't waste your time. I wasted it for you. (and you're welcome)

The 1st hour is pretty much teens being teens, with a wee bit of "what the f**k is going on" thrown in. Never gets any better. Has a minor climax towards the end. Very minor.

There's other things you could be doing........

The paranoia angle was working, they should have run with it and the movie could have been great.

I didn't think it was too bad lol. I went downhill towards the end and the CGI was shit but other than that, I quite enjoyed it.

reply

Well, I'm glad you kinda enjoyed it. I thought it was really really bad.

I'm pretty sure you were one of those who was cooking or doing the laundry while you watched Head Count and missed a lot of revealing clues that went by. This is a movie that requires your undivided attention to get the most out of it.

00:24:15 - Who did Evan say "[good] Morning" to as he walked out of the desert party house?
00:29:45 - Who was the 1st person of the group the Hisje duplicated?
00:35:00 - Who made Zoe jump off the cliff?

If you can't answer those strategically memorable questions, you weren't paying attention.

reply

Yeah, I'm flattered that you think you knew what I was doing or what I'm about. I'm years removed from this movie, or did you miss that fact because you were doing laundry or cooking at the same time. So how the hell would you think anyone could remember such mundane questions. The fact that this board has no traffic should tell you something. For once, you're one-in-a-million.

Unfortunately that’s not enough. I did notice some of that stuff.

1) I had to rewind for the blonde because the cast was so generic looking it was hard to differentiate them. I don’t care how tall or black or white or fat or dickless or titless they are, if they’re all dressed in those generic clothes they’re interchangeable.

2) The movie needed more of those moments. They don’t add up to much and they’re not exploited for optimal creepiness.

3) Good question. Who made Zoe jump off the cliff? The same person who removed her acting ability halfway through the movie, I guess.

I appreciate you going to bat for this movie. The fact of the matter is the lead up it and the climax itself undid this movie.

i thought it was good fun. it's actually become a movie that i like throwing on every six months or so. it's nothing major, and it has its flaws for sure, but it's a fun twilight zone-ish story that goes down very easily.

it's fine. i like watching minor, ok-ish movies sometimes. this is one of those.
