Hard to tell at this point given how divided the Academy voters are as well as it's rottentomatoes score.
Phoenix forsure will get nominated along with a Best Adapted Screenplay nom but Best Picture and Director is a coin toss at this point.
What do you guys think? They might treat it like Dark Knight and give it a ton of technical noms as well as a Best Actor nom but stop there.
I just saw a couple articles come up talking about how there might be Oscar buzz for Joker, so...I'd like to change my answer to: "Who knows?" Maybe they'll make it one of the ten nominees after all.
shareI don't know enough about the competition to make a call. I definitely think Phoenix deserves a nomination for Best Actor.

shareI think it might get an Oscar nod because there are now 10 nominations instead of just 5. Obviously, it SHOULD get nominated no matter what but we all know how idiotic the left is in California, especially those Hollywood snowflakes.
