I mean everyone there looks to be in tremendous shape and athletic, Robbie for example has like 15 abs and is chiseled out of stone, and she shows up looking fat and slow. It just looks ridiculous we're still expected to buy her as this skilled karate fighter in the most intense serious karate tournament there is.
Her winning even one contest in the shape shes in would be unbelievable.
Samantha is very believable because that extra layer of fat protect her from opponents kicks and punches to the body
shareYeah, i noticed that too. Im not hating on weight, but this is martial arts and at the highest level. As you mentioned, no way Sam is believable.
Another thing that really irked me is martial arts is a very disciplined sport. This portrays it as the complete opposite.
That's where you draw the line? Where's the drug use? The gender confusion? The hatred for the patriarchy? This show depicts a parallel universe in which the 1950s never went out of style and conformity is still king. Man you should have seen them kicking Steven Spielberg.
